Classic uses only the seven four-block Tate families. Hyper mixes three-, four-, and five-block Tates—including mirrored five-block variants—and grants three Freeze, Bomb, and Slow charges per run. Tates fall along a wrapped 32 × 20 surface. Filling all 32 cells at one height removes that ring; higher layers shift down by the removed row, but blocks never fall independently into unsupported gaps.
